Facilities

We have invested a lot of time and effort into ensuring that our nursery provides the right environment for the children in our care.

The building is detached property; comprising 5 spacious, fully equipped and well resourced rooms and and outdoor play area. Everything we buy, build and provide is carefully done so with the your children in mind, this can be seen from the messy play area, to the role play area to the soft floor garden to the purpose built sand house in the garden.  

Safe and secure

The safety and security of our children and staff is paramount. We have therefore, implemented a wide range of security measures including, an intercom system so our practitioners can see who is arriving at the setting before allowing them entry, to all staff having completed a course in safeguarding children.

Tailored to children’s needs

Each room is tailored to meet the development needs of its particular age group. They have their own team of expert staff that work together to provide a stimulating environment and various activities that allow children to explore, create and thrive to reach their full potential.

Key workers are used to provide children and parents with a consistent adult with whom they can develop a trusting and supportive relationship. Each child has a key worker who carefully monitors their progress and development. This information is placed into the children’s learning journal which parents/carers are more than welcome to view at any time

Special needs

Butterfly Day Nursery is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and operates an inclusive environment. We have an exceptional Special Needs Coordinator who is fully qualified with experience of a number of different health and educational needs. We also work in close partnership with other professionals to ensure the children and families get the best possible support and advice available.
